Quilting Adventures Part 1

So, I decided to go for it, and stitched the top of the quilt I'm going to make for Grace together. I really, really like how it turned out. I'm going to add some fabric to the sides/top still, to lengthen it, so that it will cover her bed, but this is the main patchwork piece that will go in the center. If that makes sense.

Don't look at it too closely, because there are about 800 million mistakes.

But, it just gives it that homemade flair that I like to add to everything I make. :)

I LOVED making it, though. It was so much fun to piece and sew while I watched the kids play and while we watched a movie last night. And I'm really, really excited because next week for Enrichment we're tying and binding quilts, so I will learn how to finish quilts. And THEN I am really, really, really excited because once I learn how, and make a few quilts for the family for practice, then I can make a bunch of quilts for Humanitarian Aid, too. The Church really, really needs quilts, and it would be fun to contribute.

Apparently, the word 'really' needs to be said a lot when I talk/write about quilting. :)
