Mike brought this home from work on Saturday, proud that he had found such a "cool" chair at D.I. for only $5.
Wow. It's even uglier in person, if you can imagine.
He seriously doesn't get why I don't like it.
And why I asked him to leave any future furniture shopping up to me.
It'll give me a good opportunity to learn the art of reupholstering, however, so it's not a total loss. ;)

Oh, Allison, they truly mean well! Do you remember Dad taking you all to WalMart at about midnight one July 3rd...and coming home with that mauve and green southwestern style rug that Dad picked out? Went soooo well with my early American brown couch and the gold/yellow fruit print chairs we already had! He really tried, and so it stayed in the family room for YEARS (I didn't have the heart to tell him it totally went with nothing!) I guess, though, it was way better than my other gift...a deodorant rock! Mike sure loves you!

Reupholstering is fairly easy when it comes to chairs. Just pay attention to how the old fabric is on there and if you have any questions feel free to call me.Good Luck.
